Marriage Counseling & Couples Therapy
I never cease to be humbled by the power and resilience that couples have to heal. Beneath the anger, frustration and hurt - there is the unique bond the brought you together. Healing and strengthening this bond allows couples to resolve bitter conflict and create the closeness and intimacy that often gets lost when people get "stuck" in negative communication, long term conflict or stress, lack of physical intimacy, even infidelity or trauma.
For over two decades 90 % of couples completing EFT significantly improve their relationship, and 70-75% experience complete relationship recovery. One characteristic the differentiates EFT from other methods of relationship therapy is that couples experience continued relationship growth even after ending therapy!
EFT can help you to:
*improve communication
*prevent disagreements from spiraling out of control
*express your needs and respond to your partner's needs
*create security, heal long-standing hurt and create trust
*repair issues related to infidelity, loss, conflict and intense stress
*regain emotional and physical intimacy
EFT is especially helpful with depression, anxiety, step-parenting issues and work/relationship balance. It is a short term model of 15 - 24 sessions. Many of the couples I work with find that even after the first few sessions - they are communicating more and arguing less, and connecting to each other's needs and feelings. EFT is also helpful with couples in premarital counseling..
