About me...
I have had the privilege of training with award winning psychologist, Dr. Susan Johnson, creator of EFT and founder of International Center for Excellence in Emotion Focused Therapy (ICEEFT). I completed my advanced EFT training and certification with Gail Palmer, MSW, RMFT, co-founder of ICEEFT and
George Faller, LMFT, Founder and Director of the NY Center for EFT.
I am a certified EFT therapist and in addition to my private practice, provide consultation and supervision to other psychotherapists in working with EFT. I am currently working on an Emotionally Focused Family Therapy -EFFT research project examining parenting stress levels with adolescents and the impact on marital distress.
In addition to my work with EFT I have had extensive advanced psychotherapy training at The Ackerman Institute for the Family (New York), The Minuchin Center for Marriage & Family Therapy (New York), and the Theraplay Institute (Chicago).
I believe that being a good therapist means having a balanced life. I am an avid practitioner of yoga and meditation, and love music, working in my garden and spending time with the people I love.
